Ishnala Supper Club in Lake Delton

It was our first time there and we will definitely be back! The wait time for a table was perfect for an old fashioned and a walk down to beautiful Mirror Lake. Our steaks were perfectly done and absolutely amazing. I got the chocolate cake to go and enjoyed it for a 4AM snack and it was fabulous. Our server, Ksenia, provided us with top notch service with a smile. Probably the best dining experience I have had EVER. Better than 5 stars!!!!!

One of my favorite places on earth. This place cannot be beat from appetizers to desserts and the ambiance is so peaceful. A wonderful dining experience.

My husband and I ventured away from home for our anniversary dinner here and the food was delicious and the service attentive. We arrived around 5 pm on a Monday and while it looked like it might be busy already we did not have to wait to be seated. My husband's scallops were melt-in-your-mouth perfect. The Old Fashioneds were on the small side with a lot of ice but tasty. I echo some of the other reviewers in that the prices are on the high side (to be expected in the Dells) and none of the employees wore masks. Maybe the bugs would make it unpleasant but with such beautiful surroundings it's too bad they don't offer any outdoor seating, especially during Covid, even just for drinks. As Wisconsin natives we like a good supper club, and we enjoyed our experience at Ishnala.

Patiently waiting, do not take reservations. They said 1.5 to 2.0 but we are doing it.5 of us with all different orders. Everything was great.

Such a unique place overlooking Mirror Lake. Super appetizers and friendly service.

Classy and rustic at the same time. Fantastic lake supper club experience. Food was awesome and service was outstanding.

You really pay for the ambiance of this place. Beautiful views overlooking the lake. They don't take reservations but we went on a weekday around 8pm and they said they had just finished a 1.5hr wait so we were lucky. Although there is a bar on the lower level and lots of outdoor area to explore. It's also beatifully lit at night.Our food was delicious! We ordered a special for two which included a ribeye with shrimp (or upgrade to lobster tail), two sides, and two salads. We also ordered a spinach dip before realizing they provide rolls and cinammon rolls too, goodness we were too stuffed to finish anything. I would absolutely next time try to save space for the amazing looking dessert. We ended up taking a piece of cheesecake with us because we couldn't fit one more bite! Will definitely return!The only thing I would suggest is for the servers to wear masks during this time. They should be protected from the amount of people they encounter every day.

Beautiful location, good food, excellent Old Fashions. Every table has stunning view. We were told 2 1/2 hour wait, but it was only hour and a half. Pricey. The staff were all fabulous.

Probably my favorite place to eat steak, for sure best in the dells! I love the food here and it is always busy! Great martinis and desserts as well! It’s a great place to bring friends and sit down for a nice meal! Sad it is only open in the summer but that’s the beauty of it! A must try in the dells, but be aware of the price and come earlier because there is always a wait! I love the rolls and crackers with cheese!

Great views...friendly staff...refreshing drinks. I had the prime rib and although a very good cut of meat, it lacked flavor. If you dine here...bring your checkbook.

This was voted #1 WI Supper club for a reason. The views are incredible, the service was impeccable...every single staff member was friendly. Our dinners were delicious! Emily is an exceptional server.

A great dining experience! A few thoughts:Highs:-Exceptional setting, deep within the woods and on the lake-front-Plentiful outdoor seating for lengthy wait times-We arrived 40min prior to dinner (3pm) so we enjoyed a cocktail on the deck over Mirror Lake and were seated rightaway-Friendly, helpful wait service-Cuisine was fitting of a Supper Club and my filet mignon was done to perfection :)Lows: -Frank Sinatra on repeat, seemed cheesy-Buzzer-type wait systemWould happily return when in the area. 5/5!

Have been here about 4 times each times and the experience is as good as the time before. Never in lack in quality and suburb service. Old fashioned the way it should be and the views are a great way to watch the sun touch the lake. Highly recommend going there with a no rush, laid back mindset. You will wait a long time to sit to dinner but they have 2 bars, patios, and lake options to wait for your table where you can get drinks and appetizers but expect to wait at least and hour and a half even longer during the busiest of weekends but trust me it is worth the wait. And you get all of your moneys worth!

I love reading all reviews about how the restaurant isn't practicing social distancing. Do any of you realize that you have a much greater chance of dying in a car accident on the way home from the restaurant than you do from COVID? The virus has a 98.4% recovery rate and the people who have died are the elderly who probably didn't have much time on the planet anyways and people who have had pre-existing conditions. Thats a fact, look it up. If you people don't like the situation then stay at home in your basements and keep watching CNN with your tin foil hats on. Thank you Ishnalla for supporting the little shred of freedom we have left.

If you’re ever in the Dells, take the time to try this place! Some of the best customer service I’ve ever had, great food and tons of history!Ishnala- in the language of Winnebago Indian means “by itself alone”. You will see the meaning when you go! Even the road you take to it is beautiful!

Fantastic location and views! This was our first time and the food was excellent. Our server was one of the best we've had in many years. We will definitely be back.

Ate here in August and it is still out of this world! The filet and the salmon we had were some of the best we have had anywhere. Can't say enough about the au gratin potatoes covered in Wisconsin cheddar! We finished it off with a caramel cake that was dreamy delicious. Service was fast and friendly and everything was totally worth the wait!

If I was writing this post pre-COVID it would be a completely different review. The food was good, the drinks were good, the ambience was good. It’s obvious that this place is highly rated for a reason.But I was SO FRUSTRATED with the lack of care and precautions taken to help prevent the spread of COVID that I could hardly relax. Obviously, choosing to go to a restaurant right now comes with its own risks. I recognize that. However, we called ahead to check on the measures being taken at Ishnala to protect both customers and employees and were ASSURED that precautionary measures (including masks and distancing) were taking place. This was NOT THE CASE. We drove to Ishnala and waited a long time for our table, had I not been with people who were more comfortable than me, I would have left. I’m really disappointed with this experience and the lack of care and precautions. Like I said, this would have been a completely different review pre-covid. But now, there’s honestly no excuse.

One of the best supper clubs in the state! The service is always first rate. The food and brandy old fashioneds will make you want to come back again and again. Perched above the shoreline of Mirror Lake, the views are enjoyed from the dining room, outside deck and separate bar areas.

Blatant defiance of mask ordinance. Not one single employee spotted with a mask. Not even the floor managers. Restaurant was over capacity. So irresponsible. Shame on them!

I own a butcher shop in Chicago so it takes a lot to impress me..but the steak and lobster i had was fantastic..and great service.

That aviance was beautiful and the views are breathtaking. The drinks were amazing! My friends steak was supposed to be medium rare and it came almost well done. Of course they offered to remake it but she didn't want to wait. the service was really amazing fantastic we had a big party and they had two servers. We were served really quick! I would recommend it tho.

Steaks, Prawns, Lobster, Scallops, Duck, Escargot - all done to perfection. Enjoy it all while you take in beautiful views of Mirror Lake.

I don't know where to start. Location and structure were classic and beautiful. We were greeted at least four times by smiling faces. I never knew I needed to come to Wisconsin for shrimp LOL. Our entire experience was over-the-top amazing! Wait staff was amazing! Food is amazing! My wife and I decided if we ever get back to the area this place is a must.

Regardless of your beliefs, you cannot be this big of a restaurant in the Dell area...and still totally defy all expectations to care for your patrons. We went there yesterday, and the place was packed with zero social distancing enforcement, and none of the employees were wearing masks. I asked the manager, and he ignored my question, and just said "Have a good evening". Do you people not care how easily COVID is spread?? This restaurant should be shut down.

Loved literally everything. The view, the ambience, the staff, the complimentary cheese spread, the drinks, and the food. Everything was perfect and absolutely worth it.

Finally able to get seated right away for the spectacular view and the tasty Old Fashioned sour. Dinner was excellent too. When people feel comfortable going out to eat again, it will be another few hours wait to get a table.

This is another establishment flaunting the mask order. I don’t care how good the food is, I don’t want it with a side of COVID-19.If a restaurant isn’t following such an easy Public Health mandate, it stands to reason they’re probably not following others. I can’t imagine what your guests are ingesting on top of the COVID-19 virus...

Quintessential supper club. Get an old fashioned and the steak wrapped asparagus spears appetizer.

I love this restaurant and bring people from out of town here all the time. We were kayaking and decided to stop in for a drink on their beach. We were not planning to go inside because of Covid. One of us, however, wanted to see the inside and use the restroom. We grabbed our masks and went inside. Much to my surprise, none of the staff were wearing masks and it seemed like business as usual. Very disappointing; this is such a nice, popular (and expensive) place. They should be protecting their employees, and their customers. I will not be bringing guests here until more normal times. The place felt wrong and unsanitary for these times.

The ambiance, food and service are impeccable. The only reason I gave it four stars instead of five is because no one wore masks. Not the servers, the hosts, the bartenders, or the manager. This made it very uncomfortable for my husband and I, especially during these uncertain times. We will be coming back once COVID-19 is over, but not before then.

Was just there and I really liked it. I was so happy to see none of the staff being forced to wear masks and hardly any customers were. There was a sign on the door that said your choice. Way to stand up for our freedom Ishnala. Great food will definitely be back.

A quick 20 minute walk from our camper at Mirror Lake State Park was all that was between us. As we arrived at 330pm and walked directly into the host area to give our reservation and to the main bar. We were immediately served two Old Fashioneds and a beautiful view. We were seated promptly at 4pm, ordered cheese curds and more drinks. I had the Salmon and my wife had shrimp. All the food was fresh, warm and fantastic down to the little cinnamon wheels. I’d have taken a whole basket to-go. And most importantly was our waitress. She was super friendly and made our first experience at Ishnala perfect.

Even if you JUST go for the sunset, happy hour, a drink at the bar, and/or end up staying for dinner, this place is amazing! There is nothing like it in WI and it's so close to everything in the Dells. Why not get dressed up (WI up north standard), enjoy an drink, watch the sunset over the lake, and pretend like it is a simpler time. A must stop supper club!

You shouldn't even have to ask how great this place is... But since you did I will tell you the atmosphere is amazing! The food is fabulous and service is above and beyond. My only wish is to be able to eat dinner at the bar (which btw there are 3 to choose from).

First time here 🙋‍♀️ and it was great! Gorgeous view with tasty food and drinks and good service. We sat at the bar and had appetizers. The escargot and the prime rib roll things were fantastic! I had an old fashioned that was perfect. The staff at the hostess stand and the bar were all very attentive and accommodating. Great supper club feel. I highly recommend!
